Professional Identity
I like to design simple and widely usable products that bring joy to the everyday life. Meaningful interaction, aesthetics, sustainability and inclusivity are aspects I value in my designs. My skills in ideating, prototyping and validating from a user and business perspective help me to strengthen my designs. I like working together with others, and using the arising learning and ideating opportunities. Both as a person and a designer I’m perfectionistic and honest, I use my pro-activeness to balance my pragmatic personality to get to the best design outcome possible.
Vision
I believe the future of design lies in creating simple, widely usable products that bring joy to their user. Designers have a responsibility to support sustainability by considering the environmental and social impact of their designs. Overconsumption should not be promoted, instead, designers can enhance the little joys in life through nice interactions and useful designs.

Development over the past 5 years
For 5 years I have studied Industrial Design. I took some extra courses and expanded my horizon beyond ID in the extra 2 years. In the end, I went through a development that taught me how I see my future, what my PI&V looks like and what skills fit with that. I have made a full overview of my development in the competencies, along with reflections and specifications on what skills I learned.

Final Bachelor Project
During my FBP I designed a brand (FIXED) that makes clothing repair accessible to everyone by providing inspiration, kits with needed materials and instructions. All this is done from a feminist perspective: feminism is embedded throughout the brand in the message, the visibility of mending, and in the business model.
